Review on 🐾 Stylish Suede Shearling Coat for Pets: Fashionable and Warm! by Denise Kirkeby

I liked the way this coat looked in the photo so I used it for my Kuvasz mix. I don't know what she's mixed with, but her fur is definitely not Kuvasz. Too rare for Vermont in winter. I am very pleased with the look and warmth of the sheepskin coat. Very cool that they made a hole for the dishes at the top. Maybe another one a little higher for the collar would be nice too, maybe covered with velcro to keep the weather out when not in use. Otherwise, my only real complaint is that the original velcro that comes with this coat is really cheap crap. It fell apart immediately the first time my dog started moving. So I sewed an extra good velcro. It was necessary anyway because my XL coat wasn't really meant for a medium sized dog, but I took a chance on going a larger size and I'm glad I did. It beautifully covers her sides and back. The additional Velcro not only strengthens the overall closure situation, but also compensates for the sagging of the abdominal straps due to my dog's slim build. This coat was designed for a very large dog like the Great Dane or the Pyrenees. A good velcro that I sewed on ended up falling apart because I hand sewed it on and only sewn the corners. It was difficult to get the needle through the velcro and thick material of the sheath. So in the end I gave up and just secured the velcro to the ends with safety pins. I also closed the front flaps to measure with a large safety pin, so now all I have to do is slip the coat over her head and secure the straps to her stomach with new velcro straps. It holds everything together well and you can't see the safety pins because they are secured from underneath. I've uploaded some photos of my dog in action to show how flexible and well fitting this coat is. I hope you enjoy them. I gave this product four stars because of the crappy velcro closure. Otherwise I love it and will buy another one when I see the price drop back down to the $26.02 I originally paid for it on December 1st 2010. was lower than the price I originally bought it for. I was very happy and bought another one when he did. The situation with Velcro remains the same. Now I've also noticed that the price has gone up a bit and Revain isn't shipping it for free anymore. This means that with the additional shipping costs, this product is now worth 55% more than the original price I paid for it and 64% more than the new, lower price I paid. Ouch! So glad I got them when I did. Still a great coat. My dog loves it and everyone says it's the most beautiful dog jacket they've ever seen.
