Review on 🚐 RV and Travel Trailer Electric Step Assembly: Kwikee 32 Series with Logic Control Unit, Power Switch Kit by Joseph Harkins

I replaced a single speed automatic (also from Kwikee) with this two speed automatic as my wife's knees are starting to give her problems. This makes it easier to get in and out of the van, which means we'll get more out of it as we age. I was able to easily assemble it myself using our Lego leveling blocks to support the device while positioning it. It's pretty heavy, so don't stand under it while you work! There are only four nuts holding the old block in place (same goes for the new block once installed). Wiring was easy - being the same manufacturer all I had to do was unplug the old device at the quick connect point and then plug in the new one. The kit includes a door switch and a quick release pigtail, but I didn't have to replace either of them. An added bonus is that this step opens and closes silently rather than the loud screech of an old block warning everyone at the campsite of our arrival. I was a bit concerned that this lower stand would hit the curb when parked parallel, but I tested it when the stand hit my foot when opening. The block stopped easily without much effort, so I'm not worried about breaking. I'm sure it will make a big difference in our motorhome enjoyment.
