Works well with the rest of the belly dance ensemble and looks great on its own. Personally, I'm not a fan of glitter shit, but it's thin enough that I can take it. The plastic sequins match the scarf well without detracting from its elegance, but are still able to reflect light at just the right angle and shimmer as you move. Although it has small pieces of sequins sewn in, it doesn't give it the "cheap kid suit" that I associate with sequins. However, this scarf is not really meant to be held in place. I used white tape, threaded it through the top row of holes in the straps to support it, and tied the tape around my waist. Then I just took the ends of the scarf and tied them together over the ribbon knot to give it the look of a knotted scarf. Definitely worth the price and I'll be back for more colors soon!
