Bought this scope six weeks ago and wanted to share my experience. As others have pointed out the scope is high quality, solidly built and delivers crisp, clear images for the price. I use the telescope for terrestrial observations and sometimes for lunar and planetary observations. Some might say it's too small for planetary observation, but the 82mm telescope is much larger than the 28mm telescope Galileo used to discover Jupiter's moons. And it's a much better telescope than Galileo's. I like the portability and ease of use of the oscilloscope. On the other hand, the eyepiece is attached with a bayonet catch; it is not threaded. This means that you cannot attach a lunar filter or other filters like you can with a suitable telescope. The case that came with it could have been better. It is difficult to get it on the scope, and if you try it on a cold evening on the street with frozen fingers, it turns out to be almost impossible. Also, there's no velcro on the front of the case (the part that covers the main lens) so it's easy to fall off when you move the scope. Finally, a small note: the scope image on the Revain is grey-black. in color. The resulting sight is dark green and black. Conclusion: I am satisfied with the Scope and would buy it again.
