Review on Experience the Ultimate Performance with Saucony Freedom ISO Olive Shade Men's Athletic Shoes by Jonathan Lloyd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great fit, very soft cushioning, but probably not suitable for overpronators

I was a little wary of these stability shoes as they "feel" heavier than my Saucony Phoenix 7 shoes. I think this is probably wrong - they are very light on the foot due to the design of the upper, well balanced and very comfortable. I have wide feet and the fit is perfect; I'm a size 8, I ordered a UK-8 and had no problems. Have run a half marathon in them after only two training runs and have had no problems in horrible wet conditions (much better than my creeks which seem to give me new blisters every time). since I use them!) Speaking of wet conditions, the grip is more "normal” than fantastic. That might be due to my mediocre fitness, but I seemed to release a noticeable amount of energy when sliding down a wet, paved road. Maybe a few more kilometers could improve the situation? The only thing to watch out for is the price! Different colors seem to command very different prices. Why? By the way, I would consider myself a regular runner, but no more than 20 miles a week. It's quite difficult to objectively judge how well this shoe compares to others simply because my fitness levels vary so much. If these aren't the best pair I've had in this price range, they definitely are one of the best.

Pros
  • They were great at first, but the cushioning didn't seem to last many miles.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for those with knee or back problems.
