It's just a regular 4-port AC outlet, but the USB ports and mounting holes make it really handy to mount on a table or workbench to allow easy access to the source without having to run an extension cord across the room. The flat connector is angled, which is good, but it can still get in the way of some of the larger PSUs underneath. A 6.5 foot cable is fine, but once you start using the cable management system to try and hide the cable, that length wears out very quickly. It's good if you have an outlet under the table and need an easy way to plug something in without having to lean under the table every time. Charges my phone well, USB ports are good for regular small items, should also charge most tablets. The quality is ok. Completely made of plastic, but not too cheap in look and feel. I am happy with this extension. No discomfort after a few days of use for everyday activities. There is no on/off switch. You turn it on and it's on all the time.
