GOOD and BAD in sports

Topeak has been around for a long time and mostly produces high quality products. But there is so little of their product support, product descriptions and instruction manuals that I wonder how they are still in business! were description. You almost wonder if the mount is on. (Yes it is) It comes with both an aluminum stem cap mounting bar and a rubberized plastic handlebar mount. The kit includes long and short screws to choose from according to your needs. The part that connects the body of the phone to the mount can be rotated 270 degrees to provide horizontal and vertical position. This makes it easy to remove part of the phone case when you're done driving. It seems durable and safe. BUT. What they don't tell you (neither here on the Revain list nor on the Topeak website) is that it's a 1 1/8" stem cap, NOT a 1 1/4" stem cap Diameter. They also don't tell you it should NOT be used on carbon shafts. However, if you open the box at the very top of the instructions page in BIG BOLD LETTERS (and in 8 different languages) it clearly says "Do not use on carbon shafts". That? But in reality it is not that simple. What if you have an aluminum steerer but on a carbon fiber fork, is that ok? What if you have carbon handlebars, can I use a rubberized handlebar mount? The lack of answers and information as usual and trying to get answers from Topeak is next to impossible. At the same time, most of the product descriptions on Revain are about the phone case holder part. It's basically a large adhesive mount with multiple elastic straps and Topeak's patented mount on the back. Comparing with the good design and quality of the leg bracket, the phone case has poor design. It is said to fit phones up to 6.5 inches with or without a case. If you have a 6.5 inch phone with a case (especially a thick Otterbox model) getting your phone into the holder with the rubber band is a little tiring! You can do it BUT the straps are stretched to the limit and it's probably only a matter of time before they break. for a bike ride. The straps don't slide over the rubberized casing very easily, making them difficult to center. I don't want to take my phone out of a thick case every time I go on a bike ride. And I'd be uncomfortable using this on my phone without a protective case, and those tight rubber straps are the only thing keeping the phone from falling off the bike. The idea of just dropping the case is not a good one. The tapes seem to cover most of the buttons and openings on my Galaxy S10. The upper left is responsible for the volume button and covers the flash on the back. Top right locks the camera lens on the back, selfie lens on the front, and presses the power button on the side. The bottom left cover hides the headphone jack. The lower right side covers the speaker and microphone. Since it's inconvenient to turn it on and off every ride, leaving it on all the time is no good. it ended up in the trash! However, I have saved the stem cap mount for future use.
