🚲 Topeak Omni RideCase DX with Bike Mount: Grey-Black, 4.5”-6.5” Screen Compatibility Review

I was hoping this would work well with my Pixel 3XL. It is not. Even when I take the silicone case off, it's difficult to put on and blocks the home, forward and back buttons in most apps. Almost useless. It's clear that this company focuses solely on iPhones, so most of the people in the world who use Android phones just get something else. Too bad. The bike mount is good if you could put your phone on it.

I've ridden this a few times. It's stable and fits between my Redshift aerobars when held in portrait mode. I have a Google Pixel XL and my phone fits even when wearing a silicone case. The top strap covers my phone's 3.5mm port, which is a good thing as it helps keep sweat off the port. My phone has downward-facing speakers that aren't covered by the bottom strap, so I ride with music on my phone when I'm on the bike path to alert runners to my approach.

I thought I would just order a riding case and now that I re-read the description I think I can decipher some of the contents description. I have a different Topeak mount on a different bike and was looking for a different way to connect my phone. Topeak has been around for a long time and mostly produces high quality products. But there is so little of their product support, product descriptions and instruction manuals that I wonder how they are still in business! were description. You almost wonder if the mount is on.
