I may change my rating if I use it, but when I opened the needle case I smelled black iron. I was working with equipment in a warehouse, that's one of the things I was trying to get away from when I quit my job. I remember working in the Dark Iron departments and getting sick of the smell and wincing when I had to work to refill the product, I was wearing rubber gloves. It got on my hands and stained my clothes. I think of washing pins, but I remember black iron rust. The needles will obviously soil the product and leave an odor. It's weird that I'm doing a craft project and working with items that are usually found in the bones of your house and never touching it unnecessarily.
