Adventure, here we are, in our dog backpack!

I have used this backpack several times since I ordered it. It took me twice to figure out how to adjust the straps and buckle my dog in. Which turns out to be very important! The first time I used it, my dog leaned forward, tried to climb out of the head hole and nearly fell out while on my back! Inside the backpack there is a hook that you can attach to your dog's collar. Be sure to use it! Next it took time to deal with the belts. The soft shoulder straps are very comfortable. The only downside to a backpack is that you can feel the heat transfer from your dog to you. I felt very warm wearing my dog in a sweatshirt. If your dog is warm, you will be warm! Almost awake! I bought a backpack for hiking with my dog and for shopping with him. Outside one of these stores that I just "checked out" there is a big sign that says "No Dogs Allowed". So far there have been no problems in any of the stores. And he's a registered service dog, so that rule doesn't apply anyway. Please think of your dog when protecting his kennel. Her head is sticking out of the top of the backpack while the rest of her body is inside. If your dog doesn't like being petted in a kennel, he might not like being petted in a backpack. There isn't much room inside the backpack to lay down, but a toy-sized dog can do it. So give your small to medium sized dog a walk or a rest after sitting in the backpack for a while. I love the color of what I bought! The fabric is well made. The backpack is easy to use. I recommend using treats and slowly training your dog to get into the backpack. It was a problem getting my dog right inside. So I tried putting my backpack down, doing a treat trail, and letting my dog go in and sniff. Then I started stuffing it in my backpack. After several attempts at more treats, he was ready to sit inside. I also recommend placing the backpack on a table or back door to lay it on your back. Sounds silly, but you can just put your hands in the straps and get started! My dog is about 7 pounds, but I'm not good at lifting him and I've had trouble with it. If you have strong hands, this is not a problem. I found I could carry my dog for about 2 hours then we took a break. We look forward to more fun in the backpack!
