I am building a large synth instrument. I got this for a power supply with a typical power cord connector. Unfortunately, it didn't have a switch on the side that would face the outside of the case. It ranges from 110V-220V AC to 12V DC and is designed for high current draw operation. The AC side needs 9 amps, which is difficult to find a switch for. A typical outlet in America is rated at 15 amps. I chose this short cord with a switch because it is rated for 10 amps, which gives me enough room for inrush current. When I received the package in the mail, I found that the switch was a bit loose. For this reason, two stars were deducted for reliability. It's not enough to send it back, but it needs to be repaired. I plan to use a small amount of flame retardant glue like 5 minute epoxy to get it flush. Works with my power supply. The switch click is loud, which is a very good sign. If the switch click isn't very loud, it won't last very long.
