I have an old machine, an elliptical, that I have used for many years. It was built without an on/off switch and instead turns itself off after a while. I never liked the idea of leaving it on all the time and always unplugged it. A small cable/switch knot eventually fixes the problem. Thanks for that.

Sometimes I need to use one computer to solve another computer's hard drive problem. This means you have to PULL the power cord many times. Now that I have the little device I need, I no longer have to unplug it, just flick the switch. Very happy with this device.

I am building a large synth instrument. I got this for a power supply with a typical power cord connector. Unfortunately, it didn't have a switch on the side that would face the outside of the case. It ranges from 110V-220V AC to 12V DC and is designed for high current draw operation. The AC side needs 9 amps, which is difficult to find a switch for.
