Works great for cropping like wxoscted. . But I use it to shave. I'm African American and I'm trying to deal with razor bumps, so I shave with them. This is not a razor so I don't expect a clean shave. There is a very slight 5:00 shadow look (if you take the time to shave. About 10 minutes for me). At first I thought it was a lousy shave, but after about a week of shaving with it, I noticed a lot of looks and smiles from women. . I've been using it for shaving ever since. I admit that as a shaver it lasts longer. It doesn't give you a close shave like using it as a trimmer. You need to keep shaving/cleaning the same areas (stubborn whiskers) until they are sufficiently shaved. Again, it takes me at least 10 minutes on the same spots to get the desired shave. . Overall a good product.
