Since Birkenstock stopped making US 15 inch sandals I was happy to find these shoes to match. There is some arch support which is a plus for me. Additionally, each strap is adjustable, and if you wish, you can detach the back straps and wear them as slip-ons, which is handy around the house. Even the top can be swapped out, although a year later I didn't have to think about it. However, I haven't found a way to adjust the straps so they don't rub against the upper front of my legs. or to keep my feet from moving sideways a little when I walk in them. But overall I'm satisfied. Good product at a good price although there is room for improvement.
