I've finally found the right one!

After years of searching around the world I finally found a pair of sandals that fit my husband well. I can't tell you how happy I was when I saw that he was wearing sandals and the length and width were a perfect fit. Hooray!

Pros
  • The size and width are very accurate. These are durable, well-fitting sandals even for men's size 16 6-EEEEEE width.
Cons
  • Limited color options

Mixed feelings about Dunham Lords St Johnsbury in Brown

I recently bought Dunham Men's St Johnsbury brown sandals and have had them for a few weeks now. While I have to say they are comfortable and fit me well, there are certain aspects of the design that I don't really like. First, I find the straps too stiff and difficult to adjust. It takes quite a bit of effort to tighten them properly, and yet they tend to slip a little when walking. Second, I'm not too impressed with the quality of the materials used. The leather feels cheap and the sole is…

Ultimate comfort and style: Dunham's St Johnsbury sandals

These sandals from Dunham draw attention with their clean brown design and impeccable craftsmanship. The St. Johnsbury sandals feature padded straps that are incredibly gentle on the skin and offer a snug, secure fit that's perfect for extended wear. Adjustable straps ensure these sandals fit perfectly and stay in place without making your toes or heels uncomfortable. Additionally, the attention to detail in these sandals is second to none. The leather straps are soft and smooth to the touch…

Pros
  • These sandals are made from high quality materials that make them incredibly durable and ensure they will last you for many seasons to come.
Cons
  • Heavy Construction: Some buyers may find these sandals too heavy for prolonged wear, which can be a downside for those looking for a lightweight and comfortable option.

St Johnsbury sandals: stylish but uncomfortable

In terms of fashion, the Dunham St Johnsbury men's sandals definitely get a solid 5 stars. Brown leather straps complement every outfit, from casual to elegant. The sandals look elegant and classy and are definitely an eye-catcher. In terms of comfort, however, these sandals leave a lot to be desired. I have to admit I was disappointed with the comfort of the St. Johnsbury shoes. The straps are rough and dig into the skin, causing pain and irritation. In addition, arch support is minimal and…

Pros
  • The Dunham St Johnsbury men's sandals are incredibly comfortable and feature a cushioned insole to support your feet all day long.
Cons
  • Dunham St. Johnsbury men's sandals are more expensive than other comparable sandals on the market, which may make them less attractive to the budget conscious consumer.

Comfort, Fit, Price, Durability

Dunham St. The Johnsbury have a 100% rubber sole, an approx. 1.25" heel and a slouchy leather sandal with three velcro straps. Adjustability. They have one too lightweight ABZORB cushioning with a padded back strap These are exactly the sandals I need to replace a pair I bought from a local shoe store eight years ago I need a triple wide shoe to help relieve a bursitis you hit I was surprised to see them online for about the same price I paid for my original purchase eight years ago I would…

Very poor construction for branded sandals

I had high hopes for these sandals especially as they were New Balance. I purchased a pair on May 19th 2017 and I am sorry to report that on July 22nd 2017 the right front upper strap broke where it attaches to the sandal. I expected them to last more than a few months, for the price paid I expected a few years of use. So I have to give one star for the poor workmanship of these sandals. I didn't wear them every day and to be honest they were a bit worn.

Modular, a little chafing at toe

Since Birkenstock stopped making US 15 inch sandals I was happy to find these shoes to match. There is some arch support which is a plus for me. Additionally, each strap is adjustable, and if you wish, you can detach the back straps and wear them as slip-ons, which is handy around the house. Even the top can be swapped out, although a year later I didn't have to think about it. However, I haven't found a way to adjust the straps so they don't rub against the upper front of my legs. or to keep…

Good comfortable sandals but short lived

Still looking for a comparable Mephisto Shark replacement (they ARE the best sandals in my opinion). These Dunham MCR455SB 10D sandals have been good comfortable sandals for 7 months. Unfortunately the insoles have already expired and I am looking for replacements for them. The soles are holding up well with little to no signs of wear, the leather upper is also still in good condition and the nylon lining of the strap is also in good condition. I had to pull the toe strap out as much as…

Wide for victory! on shoes

Finally sandals that fit my 4E foot properly! I only wear NB sneakers because they're the only ones that fit me. When I found out they make sandals I immediately bought a pair to replace my aging naot. Usually when I wear sandals I have to buy them large and then take them to a cobbler to have the straps shortened and the velcro sewn to the new length like I did with Naot. They fit the first time and it only took me 2 or 3 times a few hours to wear them all day. I highly recommend them.

  • There are problems

Direct comparison with Propet

I don't wear sandals but I broke my big toe and now I have to wear them. On the first day I got caught in a downpour; They took a day in direct sunlight to dry. They are not waterproof. I decided I needed a second pair and ordered from Propet, which is about half the price of Dunham's ($55 vs. $95). Now I've got about 5 miles of walking (2 walks of 2.5 miles) on each, a couple of days of random walks around the house and right now I've got a Dunham on one foot and a Propet on the other. Here's…

Good sandals, fair price

I suspended the initial check to see if there would be a friction problem and that doesn't seem to be the case. . .When I first tried it I liked the insole (filled with gel?); very comfortable, and the 4-way adjustment allows you to put and fix your foot in the sandal in the most comfortable place. It felt like the inner side band was chafing (it puts more pressure on the foot/ankle than the other bands), but it's soft enough not to cause any real irritation. The biggest plus is the size; EEEE…
