I was so worried it would be ugly yellow gold but they are quite light gold which almost makes it look like you're not wearing stockings. They matched my daughter's gold and blue flower girl dress perfectly. They were thick enough to protect her from blisters on her shoes and thin enough to look natural. Just the right amount of glitter. But definitely get one size bigger. My daughter is about 9 years old and wears a size 10 but she is very tall and thin like her father. I got her a size 10-12 and she just fits - I don't see her as a tall size 12.
