Great pajamas for a pup that won't break his back

I have 2 rescue dogs and one of them is a baby. She came complete with skin allergies that we have to deal with in the summer. Last summer was really bad and we have to stop her from licking her paws and feet to make sure everything heals and long socks that reach her elbow/knee are not good for her. So we decided to try long-sleeved pajamas and short socks when she won't leave her paws alone. According to research, puppy pajamas are VERY expensive, averaging around $40-$50 for 1 pair. When I found this (and a few others) for around $25 I jumped at the product with the thought that it might not be a very good product (sometimes things cost more for some reason). I am very pleased to report that this is not the case. These pajamas are great! They're not super soft right out of the box, but they're not itchy at all (she loves them). A quick wash with a safe fabric softener will help. They are sewn so well that the crotch area is open so the pup can use the potty without taking them off and they don't get dirty (she did both with them, no problem). It's also very easy to get them on them. The main fabric is very light. Winnie gets very hot (small heater) and this does not cause overheating. The most important thing to remember is to MEASURE YOUR DOG. This product includes a table showing the three areas and locations where they should be measured, as well as a table to help you find the most suitable size. My Winnie is a mixed breed (although mostly Am. Staff) and she was right in between sizes. I made the mistake of going higher because she is a small dog but she has long legs and large paws and I wanted enough room to put her legs and paws through without hurting her with holes that were too small. She's definitely taller, and because she curls up when she sleeps, her hind legs can pop out of her sleeves when she gets up. However, this does not prevent her from using the potty (does not bother). I might try a different style and go down a size and see how it fits her. Bottom line, if you're thinking about trying this, whether to keep your pup warm or to keep him from licking his skin, this is a great starter. You won't go broke trying to find the right size and just seeing if the dog can handle the clothes (some dogs just don't wear clothes).
