I have tried 3 different mop vacuums. Tineco iFloor, Bissell Symphony Pet and Bissell Crosswave Cordless Max. Tineco does a great job with hardwood floors. The unit was leaking water which was frustrating because I didn't think it was covering the floor exactly. The suction power was just ok. He performed better on solid wood. Or maybe hardwoods just hide dirt better, but after using Tineco my hardwoods are clean underfoot. However, the truth was shown on my white smooth tile. Tineco couldn't pick the hair off the floor no matter how many times I redirected it. We have cats so this is a problem for us. TIneco will clear food jams after multiple passes. Many times I would just bend down and scrape the food a few times with my fingernail to loosen it, and then Tineco would scrape it off. Tineco felt like a tin can. awkward. It can't recline far enough to get under my coffee table, so I'd have to move the table to tidy it up. Maneuverability was heavy and I was often frustrated that it didn't move the way I wanted it to. I liked that it was cordless and easy to grab and use all day for quick access, which prompted me to take a look at the Bissell Crosswave Cordless Max. I would leave Tineco if it worked better with my tiles, but my kitchen is the most used room in the house and I want the tiles to look and feel clean. Tineco iFloor did not fit. Bissell Symphony Pet works differently as it is a steam cleaner. I have to say that after using Bissell Symphony the floors came out absolutely clean! The steam function shows you what you are actually disinfecting. I have hardwood floors. I brought the Symphony to my sisters farm and it has wide wooden boards that look old. The symphony was VERY DIFFICULT to slide across its floor as the floors were not perfectly level. Symphony cleaned my tile floor REALLY well. Of the three tiles, the symphony was the most impressive. When it came to mud I just stopped at this point and let off steam. Then he made several passes and she got up. The suction powder Symphony is impressive. Better than Tineco iFloor, that's for sure! This is not surprising, however, as Symphony is wired while TIneco is not. Symphony would be the winner. HOWEVER, SHE IS WIRED. And that just ruins everything! I constantly felt pinched against the wall and couldn't maneuver through the house as fast as I wanted because of the damn cord. POOH! Maneuverability is a lot smoother than the Tineco, but that cable ruins it all. The nail in the coffin for the symphony was when I overlooked the children's spill, the symphony picked them up with no problem but started spewing liquid out of the waste bin. The container was practically empty, so overflow was NOT a problem. Damn! Symphony really got me into having a steam cleaner in my Arsenault, but not a corded one. I'm sticking with the Bissell Crosswave Cordless Max. Yes, it's more expensive than the other two, but it's worth it because it combines the persuasiveness of the cordless Tineco with the cleaning power and maneuverability of the Symphony. I also like how easy it is to wash. Here, too, Symphony fails. Because you have washable pads, the bin is easy enough to empty. with 4 boys. With Crosswave and Tineco, you can pull a jug of clean water from the vacuum cleaner and fill it under the tap, which is much more convenient. Crosswave does a much better job on my white tile floors than TIneco! It's related to Symphony on Tile, but there's something about Symphony's Steam feature that just lets you KNOW it's clean! But then again, the cord kills. The Crosswave has better suction power than the TIneco, which should have a higher price tag. I still think the Symphony has better suction overall because it's wired. But I need the WiFi option, otherwise it's not used that much. Crosswave has a very comfortable maneuverability. It can't recline far enough to get under my coffee table, so I'd have to move the table to tidy it up. I guess anything with side water can't recline very far, so I'm getting used to that. Crosswave did a great job cleaning my farmhouse hardwoods as well as my finished hardwoods. My floors look and feel clean with Crosswave. Maybe even cleaner than with a broom and mop! I've read some negative reviews about the Crosswave breaking down after about 6 months which makes me really nervous. But today I will be registering Crosswave with Bissell to ensure I receive their product warranties. useful for you!
