I think this shaker is defective for the following reasons: 1. The plastic cap covering the shaker could not be removed without using WD-40 oil to clean to solve them. I'm afraid to put it back on for fear it will never come off again. This is disappointing because I bought it to keep closed when not in use. 2. The thickness of the steel is too thin for the screen; It's about the same thickness as the aluminum soda can that we like to crush. 3. I also bought this to use as a cinnamon cappuccino strainer as the description specifically mentions "Fine Mesh Shaker Cinnamon". However, the screen covering the shaker is not good enough for this purpose. You can easily add a few tablespoons to your coffee.
