If you've spent countless hours under the lights of an old Ledu store, you've probably noticed that the color codes aren't that bright and parts "out of country" sometimes appear gray and mix up purple. This flashlight is a great upgrade! My flashlight had the ballast removed from the box above the stem, which plugs into a bolt-on table mount. The neutral wire was moved to the (now unused) red wire. At the top of the bracket, loosen the two screws that secure the switches. Remove strain relief. Remove the old hose and its connector. Route the wires from the new LED tube connector where the old tube wires went through the reflector. The other end of the red wire connects to the white wires on the LED tube connector. The black wire going to the center bulb socket needs to be cut and stripped at both ends. Connect the black wires from the LED tube connector to the stripped ends. Now both lamps are turned on with a switch. Plug the socket/switch box back into the lamp body and screw the switches tight. Replace the strain relief and you're done! This will REALLY brighten up your project. Buy a good mid-output LED bulb and the old light will be cool and bright!
