The magnet isn't very strong as stated by other reviews but it kept the phone's screws from moving when I replaced the battery and screen assembly. It also allowed for a smooth surface to work on. Excellent product and good value for money. Update: I've used it a few times already to fix phone and laptop screens and it works really well for holding screws in place and keeping track of which parts go where. While I initially complained about the weak magnet, it's actually a good balance because if it were stronger it would be difficult to Pick up the screws with a magnetic screwdriver. It's strong enough to prevent tiny screws from accidentally moving, but not too strong.
