Review on 🔊 SMSL Q5 Pro Digital Amplifier: 2-50W USB/Coaxial/Optical, Remote Control, Black by Erick Hernandez

I bought this to add stereo to my three season room at the back of the house. We have a ceiling level outlet that is powered by a switch in the house. I placed a small floating shelf just below the outlet to house this amp and Google Chromecast Audio (which sadly no longer exists). We flip the switch and the stereo comes on. The Chromecast has a fiber optic output so I can stream digital music to this little gem of a DAC/amp. Excellent. I only have a couple of Dayton Audio speakers on my porch, but they are a great addition to the room. The amp delivers more than enough power for my use - we barely turn on the system to fill the backyard with music while gardening or climbing a rock face. Pretty sure I could annoy the neighbors if I wanted to. I've been using the system since 2016 with no problems with the amp. My only complaint is with the remote control - I wish it used AAA batteries instead of watch batteries. I usually just adjust the volume with my phone/computer or touch the knob on the amp - the volume control is the only thing I get from the remote. The on/off is via a wall switch and I only use one channel.
