Review on Food Saver Vacuum Sealer Machines: Bonsenkitchen Automatic Vacuum Food Sealer with Built-in Cutter, Strong Suction, Compact Sous Vide Vacuum Sealer Machine for Long-Lasting Food Preservation by Gina Robinson

Good company, bad product

My first sealer failed within minutes of the first application. I think I got three seals from it. To their credit, the company offered me a non-refundable replacement and quickly completed it. Unfortunately, the second block is also scrap. It's not a failure yet, but each seal seems to be the last. I've already bought replacements elsewhere. The device takes an unreasonably long time to cool down between seals. If you try to make three seals in a row, after a few seconds the vacuum pump will turn on on the third seal and you will have a partially vacuumed bag. If you're not very quick, the seal will kick in and seal the bag, forcing you to wait half an hour and then use a new bag. I don't use this machine for heavy duty or commercial work, but when I come home with large Costco flat steaks I want to store them individually, or let's say 5-6 pounds. Ground beef that I want to pack in 1 pound bags, I don't want to spend three hours doing it because I wait for the machine to recover between sealing each bag. The machine is so sluggish and weak that it prevents you from just getting the job done and moving on - each use of the machine becomes a labor-intensive project. Not recommended.
