My brother bought me this cool coffee maker at a flea market. The dome is made of glass and looks like a hardware store replacement. I have found that the lid does not close properly resulting in spills. But if you don't remove the perforated filter cover, then the dome cover closes well and then works perfectly! Set it on high heat until it starts to recover, then reduce the heat and let it rise a little for three minutes, and voila! I make it up to seven cups of water with six tablespoons of coffee, which makes about a quart of broth. Addition: My dad took a screwdriver by the loop and pushed it forward a little, now the lid closes perfectly! He's still working hard!
