Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Kootek Vertical Stand for PS4 Slim / Regular PlayStation 4 with Cooling Fan, Controller Charger, Game Storage, and Dualshock Charging Station (Not Compatible with PS4 Pro) by Pamela Pickett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

the end result isn't as usable as i thought it would be

I believe Costco has something similar as I've examined the PS4 box closely but couldn't find anything that says "Slim". . The PS4 Slim suffices for this, but with a gap of about a centimeter, making it less secure. The device is not too loud. However, given the design of the charging station, the end result isn't as useful as I had imagined. Let me explain: The fan is turned on and off with the power button. The controllers charge when the cradle is turned on, regardless of the fan/power button. However, the USB port on the PS4 only provides power when the PS4 is powered on. This means that if you want to connect the stand to your PS4 and leave the power button on, the fan will cycle on and off with the console, but it also means the controllers won't charge while the PS4 is off. This is solved by plugging the stand's USB cable into a wall charger or outlet, but this means you'll have to press the stand's power button every time you turn on your PS4. Considering you're running around for the controller anyway, you'll find yourself in the area, but it still feels like an oversight of sorts. For the record, I ended up not charging my controllers in the dock. , but closer to my chair from the wall adapter. Even with that, the stand will probably be 4/5, but the flip tray for storing the game box is cheaply made and mine wasn't straight, even after fiddling with the rubber pieces. .EDIT: While it's not their fault that Costco's PS4 Slim doesn't say "Slim", the seller contacted me and offered an alternative replacement for an issue that wasn't their fault. With this level of customer care and a new product that fits my needs exactly, I think it would be fair if I gave them a positive review. Also, plugging controllers into a different USB port (many power strips now offer USB ports) means you have to play. You simply walk up to the stand, grab the controller with one hand, and press the stand's power button with the other. Not as uncomfortable as I initially thought; I tried to put a square hole in a round hole. However, I will leave the original text above.
