Pretty but no battery and bad gears

It was a fun little project that resulted in a nice robotic music box. The finished product is truly amazing, with posable arms and legs. The music box also functions as a key ring with a melancholic melody. The instructions were comprehensive and included glue, a mini screwdriver and a small piece of sandpaper. However, as other reviewers have complained, no batteries were supplied despite being advertised as such both online and in the box, which is a shame as these batteries are hard to come by. Also, I also had a lot of problems with the serrated tips because they didn't fit properly, so I had to file the hole in a bit with an electronic nail file. In the end, however, I remain deeply sad, because despite all my efforts and persistent patience, I still can't get the highest gears to shift. So I'm really really disappointed and quite frustrated as the turning mechanisms were the most attractive and the main reason I bought this kit from the start. Also, I had shards of some of the pieces when I took them off. You will also need a mini hammer because the tiny wooden sticks are 1. tiny and 2. so hard to get past other parts. It took me almost 7 hours to assemble. General. I only give 3 stars.
