The square dishes we've had for 15 years still look great but to be honest they don't fit well in the new dishwasher we just upgraded so I figured it was time for something new. We also just renovated and wanted one color (instead of white) and they fit the bill. They stack up well. They fit well in the dishwasher teeth. I like the lip so the food doesn't slide off. The color is deep and rich. They do not heat up in the microwave. As long as they don't scratch. I liked them so much I bought another set of 6 plus 12 plates. Customer service is pretty quick too - I emailed to be able to pick up black green bowls and they said maybe in the future. I found another brand of pasta bowls that are very similar to each other, so I was happy with this one (seen on the top shelf). They just don't fold as flat as shown in the photo because of the edge. , only about 10 plates fit if the shelves are not moved.
