Initially, I purchased a 4 pack of lantern from Etekcity (sold by Etekcity, fullfilled by Ebay). They're very similar: same size, same look, same ways of operation (on/off), same amount and size battery. The only difference was the LED bulb.I showed 4 stars out of 5 because these are not as bright at the Etekcity lantern. To differentiate the brightness of each model, I tested each with the same 3 AA batteries, in the dark and in the hallway of my home. The Etekcity stated on the box that each generates 60 lumens. Whereas, the MallomMe box stated that each generates 146 lumens which should have been brighter and the reason I purchased these. Yet, MalloMe lantern was not as bright and did not covered as much area as the Etekcity lantern. Since I didn't have a light meter, I didn't have a way to verify which model statement was correct. Also, I voted for 4 stars and not 3 because of the price I paid. At the time of purchase and including shipping cost, the MalloMe lantern was about $5 each, no batteries, and the Etekcity lantern was about $7.50 each with batteries included. So,although, the MalloMe lantern was not as bright as the Etekcity lantern, it justified the price I paid for. Now, please don't get me wrong; the MalloMe lanterns are still bright enough and the bulb is easy on the eyes. So, I still recommend these.By the way, I purchased 2 packs of 4 of these lanterns (total of 8). They all worked. Thought I mentioned this since there were quite a few reviews that mentioned 1 or more in the pack of lantern failed to work.
