That's loud, but we assumed it was likely. My husband and I needed this air purifier for general household use, although it is primarily intended for construction and construction companies. It includes a pre-filter and a hepa filter. It's hard to explain, but because of the way our backyard is set up and the way the water drains and the dogs run around and then go in, we have a lot of dust at the level of the house closest to the backyard. We did it, kicked up all the dust and let it go baby We immediately noticed the difference. It really works and I'm so happy. I was frustrated by the amount of dust that looked like it belonged to a house that hadn't been touched in a hundred years, rather than a house that a large family had swept through all day. My dust problem is not resolved, but it is no longer a problem and is no longer noticed.
