I'm a bit of an electronics addict and managing all my cables has become a bit of a chore. This helps me to have a single box that everything plugs into and isn't as annoying on the eyes as the splitters I've used before. However, one of the main reasons I bought this particular model and not similar offerings was that it offered a 6.5 foot cable. For some, the fact that the cord is stored in the base can be a huge plus. But for me it became a problem. Difficult to pull the cord out of the base. Also, the device must be rotated to remove or retract the cable. That means you need to define the link you want before you connect anything to it, and if you decide to change the length, you need to disconnect everything. In addition, all USB Plus are in one place. This leaves a lot to be desired in terms of ease of access. All in all, not a bad device, but a few design fixes deserve even more praise.
