Review on Sunpan Modern Quinn Office Chair: Sleek Onyx Design for Ultimate Comfort and Style by Renee Johnson

First I gave the Sunpan Modern Quinn Office Chair 5 stars. It's beautiful and durable, and unlike the previous reviewer, I find the seat comfortable. Unfortunately, the lifting mechanism is defective. At first I thought the problem was in the pneumatic cylinder, but after making a few mistakes I found that the problem was in the lever that presses the button on top of the cylinder. By removing the lever I was able to adjust the chair to the desired height. I uploaded a photo showing the mechanism. (Sorry for the dust.) By prying up the tabs with pliers and unscrewing the plastic handle on the other end, you can remove the lever. Press the button on top of the cylinder and lower the cylinder to the desired seat height. Release the button and the cylinder will maintain the correct height. Unfortunately, the drop in height comes with the inconvenience of partially disassembling the chair - hence the two-star rating.
