I used it as a security camera with an android tablet. It can record in both 720 and 1080, 24 hours at 1080 takes up about 4GB on a MicroSDHC card. My tablet can connect directly to this without internet or router making it fully portable. Works surprisingly well indoors, day and night. My back yard is at least 600 feet long, I can clearly see the house next door during the day. Infrared light only travels about 20 feet or so and would require an IR range extender to see much outside at night. But it also picks up flashlights or other light sources without them. It gets a little warm but has been running at 100F continuously for over 48 hours. No problem. I used double sided sticky pads to stick it to the window while leaving the vents on the back open. The thinner the better when used at night. The lens needs to be very close to the glass to avoid IR glare. The battery should last between 30 minutes and an hour. But considering its size, I can't complain. I just leave it plugged into a USB charger or battery. Overall I am very happy with this camera.
