Review on πŸ‰ Redragon M908 Impact RGB LED MMO Mouse: 12,400 DPI, 20 Programmable Buttons - High Precision Gaming Mouse by Julie Parker

Expected a little more from the M901

I think I was one of the first to buy the Redragon M901 when they first became available. I've been using it for about two years. It was a good mouse for the price. I especially like the matte finish. However, like all things, it failed one day. The dedicated FIRE button stopped working. I was dissatisfied as this is my browser back and my "Start Mount" button in WoW. Instead of buying a new M901, I decided to "upgrade" to the M908. My fault is that I didn't read the description carefully enough, and Redragon that made the mouse inferior to the M901 in terms of programmability. M908 - shiny, smooth surface. M901 is a wonderful matte finish. This is a big problem for me as I have very sweaty hands and the M908 becomes too slippery to play comfortably on warm days. The M901 was more susceptible to dirt and in my case had to be cleaned more often. At least I could use it without sweat which would make it smoother. I take responsibility for not looking for superficial differences. But the killer thing is that the M908's "fire button" can be programmed to built-in software functions outside of most apps. But to use it in a game like WoW, the "fire" key is only mapped to the "1" key. Setting the fire button to something like "browser back" doesn't map it to anything in game either. The software with the M901 had no problem programming the fire button. I've lived with it, but am a bit disappointed.
