Review on Bosch GWS10-45P Grinder with Paddle Switch for Improved Performance by Calvin Chavva

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fair price reasonable value

Received the coffee grinder a few days ago. Unpacked today and used for the first time. It seemed to perform well since I used it for grinding mild steel. It didn't choke. I found it a bit difficult. The trigger felt a little uncomfortable, but I'm sure I'll get used to it over time. I was disappointed that the kit does not include a grinding wheel. Depending on what finish I'm going to use, I still prefer a regular disc to a petal disc from time to time. I would happily pay a little more for an included gasket rather than buying it separately. What appealed to me about this model was that it was not made in China, but in Germany. This grinder replaced an old Makita grinder that lasted many years and served really well, but it looks like a lot of Makitas are made in China now. I am disappointed that many tool manufacturers have shifted their production to China. I personally avoid buying Chinese made tools whenever possible. I have several other Bosch corded power tools that have proven to be really reliable and I hope this grinder will last for many years to come.

Pros
  • Powerful motor - 10 amps and 11,500 rpm
Cons
  • Big and bulky
