I bought another Janlynn set a few years ago and was very happy to see that they still make it as the quality is excellent. This one came quickly and in a set, except the sorting card only had 16 holes and the set contained 28 colors of thread. No problem, I just made another map. The fabric is unbleached cream colored coarse cotton that serves as an excellent background for satin threads. I like more polished needles than supplied, but that's personal taste. The instructions are clear and complete. This is not a weekend project - I've been working for 45 years and I expect this to take me 3-6 months, but it will be heirloom quality.
