I ordered a glass pitcher that matches the amount of water it can filter and boiled it for ten minutes before adding it to the pitcher I bought (glass, since I heard these filters are meant to be used with clean glass (glasses), filter for 24 hours to be sure. And it still tastes like tap water and has a metallic taste. I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with my pipes or something because I can't figure out what else it could be, I've heard it's a less wasteful way of getting clean water and I was glad it did to use, but that is not the case at all. what i expected. I'm glad it came in a recyclable box (apart from the over the top label on the Amazon packaging) but I'm a bit disappointed. I will continue to use it, I can feel a slight difference in taste but it's not like bottled water at all. I might try a different pitcher or charcoal size, although the pitcher looks like plastic and I may have overfilled it or something. as wasteful as Brita filters or bottled water.
