Honest Carpenters Review

One of the few things I've had to return. Had high hopes for this woodworking item. The main problem is the filters, although I didn't have enough time to find other problems. The filters were removed after the first use. The battery instructions said it might take a few charge cycles to get the most out of the battery and after only a few hours of use I figured that was the problem. The alarm went off and the airflow decreased noticeably. I recharged it for the recommended time but the alarm still went off and the airflow decreased. I checked the filters, they seem fine. I tapped them and even tried sucking them off. They looked clean. A small pressure gauge is in place to check airflow and it didn't move at all. He has to move the small ball up the tube. During my evaluation, I uninstalled and reinstalled Filter several times to find the problem. They are very difficult to put back into use. I'm a fairly cautious person, but after the little tab on the filter broke a couple of times, it became unusable. Not that it matters because I wasn't getting any airflow with them anyway. When the filters were removed the gauge showed good airflow so it was definitely the filters. My problem is that this happened after about 3 hours of use, which I consider normal use for the average carpenter when sanding. That's my experience, and at around $60 for a set of filters, it's clearly making a comeback. By the way, I emailed support twice to identify the problem and received no response after at least a week. Conclusion: A cheap, overpriced product with poor/non-existent customer service.
