I used them for electrolyte powders that were added to water. When I shake the jar, they still spill a little. The paper insert in the lid also falls out over time, making the problem even worse. They're not big enough to add electrolytes to 16 ounces of water. They hold exactly 16 ounces, which is as advertised. I just didn't consider the extra volume after adding the powder when I bought them for this purpose. I wish they were bigger if they had a center stop metal cap to really prevent leaks, the wider mouth is nice.
