I've been using this as a laptop stand for over a year. In bed, on the desk as a standing desk and even outdoors. Also, I'm buying a second one for dual use. I like it! It's very solid (you'll have to get used to getting the angles right. It's no big deal, and having degrees of angle on the joints [see image] helps a lot with that). The legs slide into the lower holder. and can also be fixed with the enclosed screws [see Fig. Reis.]. In my case I chose not to use screws as I need to remove the legs to fit the table in my backpack. However, they never slipped out. In fact, after more than a year of use, it still had to be pulled out of its legs a bit. To the point I still do it carefully for fear of breaking them. After all, they are made of plastic. The dual fan is great for blowing hot air away from the laptop and is very quiet. Unfortunately, although the cable plugs into a USB port for power, the other end is a regular laptop power port. So it's difficult to replace when damaged and as you can see from the picture mine has started to bend. (No wonder, since I often move the desk around, like carrying it in my backpack, and sometimes forget to unplug the cable.) So I'd prefer it to be a micro-USB, which is easier to replace. Like, I said at the beginning that I like this table. I've used it for its intended purpose, as well as a desk, projector stand and most recently a reading stand and tablet. This last usage is the main reason why I decided to make another one. This way I can have a dual install that isn't limited to my desktop. Oh, I almost forgot. It has two sliders on plastic holders to make the edge higher, but my laptop is thin enough that I don't use them. However, I had to use it once with another laptop.
