100 #10 3-Prong Nuts Good Quality

These 3-Prong Nuts can be used in a variety of ways. You can drill a bolt hole in the wood, insert the bolt, screw on the nut so the ends point toward the bottom of the board, and tighten. You have to hold the nut until 3 teeth bite into the wood and then you can loosen and turn it. The tips penetrate the wood and hold the nut in place. Another thing I've done when I can't get to the back of a 2 x 4 or board when I want to mount something on it is drill a hole for the nut to put the nut in, put the nut in so that the teeth point towards the tree and hammer it in. You can also put some glue on the outside of the nut for extra hold. Then insert a #10 bolt into the gear to be installed, thread into the nut and tighten. You can get 100 of these stainless steel nuts for $29. Not cheap but I have bought many other Snug products and they are good quality. I use them to repair my boat where rust is unacceptable.
