First, the overall quality of the wiring harness is not weak for this price. It feels like a normal wire harness, flexible but rigid. I bought this harness because of its length. I put it on a 2001 GMC Sierra. I'm not a fan of the switch it comes with so I bought the $8 round and plug. If you are using a different switch, the colors on the switch harness (green connector end) are as follows: BLACK = negative BLUE = load (ie controls fog lights) RED = power. Wiring varies, but if you get one similar to mine the wiring will be as follows: RED = light on switch BLUE = load BLACK = negative WHITE = power BROWN = toggle function option (i.e. pressed in OFF position and home position included). Most people want the light in the button to turn on when they activate the fog lights or light bar. To do this you will need to connect the BLUE and RED wires together on the button before beginning the connection to the wiring harness.
