Review on 💾 128GB SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive for iPhone and iPad in Black/Silver (SDIX30C-128G-GN6NE) by Justin Malkowski

Good idea, but does not deliver what the product description promises. Use on iPhone 7Plus with the latest iOS (11.4). The phone recognized the hard drive and offered to download the application. The application works, the disk is recognized. This is the actual backup of my photos (which is why I bought these) where the device fails miserably. The full backup pretended to be taking place, but after being told it was complete, the photos were not backed up. Started again, copying 756 photos. It's been 20 minutes since the app remains active (can't exit the app. If you do, a pop-up notification will appear reminding you to return to the app so it can start backing up), still no progress. So I tried just downloading 2. It took almost 3 minutes but downloaded 2. At this point I removed the device, restarted the phone and tried again. No difference. It's faster to turn on my computer and back up my photos than to use this device. I will contact Sandisk support to see if I can find any options but most likely Inwill will return this for a refund. Disappointing too because I've always liked Sandisk SD cards and flash drives; However, they failed with this product.
