In my opinion they are better than the factory lift legs. You will lift the hood yourself. Strong Arm is the perfect name. When I installed them on my 02 Dodge Ram 1500 I couldn't get them to just push/click on the stud like the instructions implied. I tugged on the metal clip and pulled it out too far. I thought it was ok, it would snap easily. When I pulled it out too far it bent the clip a bit and didn't hold on as well as I would have liked, but I think it will be ok. I wish they had mentioned this in the instructions. On the second, I just took a flathead screwdriver and inserted it into the slot under the clip and pryed it up just enough to fit over the stud. I recommend this to anyone having the same problem. I love her.
