I bought these gas struts for my Dodge Ram 3500 05. They have replaced my old ones which have failed since I bought my truck 4 years ago. I've never changed parts like this before, but it was very easy. Now my hood lifts and thank god it finally stays in place. These racks are strong enough to support my heavy hood. Made in the United States which is a huge plus it's so hard to find anything made in the United States. They were affordable too, which is great! Update: It's been at least 6 months

Much better than the kit I bought in 2017 which was able to hold the hood up after lifting, but that's nothing compared to this Strongarm Gas Charger Lift Support kit. I think I saw that they are made in Turkey. I have no idea how long they will last but I may update this in the future but the latest 2017 set (Tuff Support Hood) didn't last very long, not even 3 years. In my opinion they are better than the factory lift legs. You will lift the hood yourself. Strong Arm is the perfect name. When I installed them on my 02 Dodge Ram 1500 I couldn't get them to just push/click on the stud like the instructions implied. I tugged on the metal clip and pulled it out too far. I bought two pairs of these Strong Arm lift struts for the hood of a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup and a 1996 Sebring convertible.
