Perfect fit for my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 (new body style). If I could give this one more than 5 stars I would. I just installed them so can't speak to durability but I have no doubt they will last longer than the factory ones that were on the truck. First of all, the company (Lift Support Warehouse) was top notch and responded immediately after I ordered the item. . They were available to answer any questions and were reachable via email, web and phone. They also sent a link to a tutorial video which was very helpful and explained the installation. Trust me anyone can do this after watching the video but you must follow the precautions they mention as most lift gates/hoods are heavy. Second, I installed them in less than 10 minutes and most likely closer to 5. Very easy to remove the old one and install the new ones. Thirdly, I could immediately say that the new supports are better than the old ones. The barrel and shaft of the new supports are much "stronger" than the old ones. Once installed, they lift the hood just as well, if not better than when the truck was new. I've attached a photo after installing the new ones for comparison. It was raining so the old ones didn't leak. Old masts on the left, newly installed on the right. Simply put, I highly recommend them if you need to replace your lifting legs. Great customer service, easy install, top product and they work!
