Review on Easy@Home NCT-301: 3 in 1 Non-Contact Infrared Forehead Thermometer for Baby, Adult, and Child by Danny Trapanese

I have mixed feelings but like the fact that it's non-invasive like all other thermometers. That's a plus for me, as is the fact that it can beep or be silent, turns on and off automatically, and comes in a nice storage box. This is where my 3 stars come into play. Let's discuss today. My baby has had a fever for 4 days. So sometime today I took her pace with it. Pushed his hair out of the way, studying his forehead from an inch away. I get the following readings. 103.7, 102.1, 103.3, 102.7, 103.3. it is within 5 minutes. What is that? I took my armpit temp right after comparing it to the recorded 102.2 to which for armpits you always have to add degrees to get the true temp (but tell your doctor the actual reading) around 103, 2, which is closer to the match on this thermometer, but having 5 different temperatures from one thermometer is ridiculous. I don't understand why it's so hard to find a thermometer that actually works. It's funny. We've had every brand under the sun: rectal, oral, axillary, temporal. Nothing has been as accurate as our rectal and now the digital axillary/oral we got from iProven (yes, sold here at Revain but is slow to take temp) is very accurate too. Turkeys have better thermometers than humans :O
