I use them for running. They're comfortable, inexpensive, and surprisingly durable. I usually buy 8 pairs about every 18 months and pay less than $2 a pair. I would have liked a little more cushioning on the soles (which would have made them more suitable for longer hikes) but for the price I'm not complaining. The thin tops are comfortable and cool in summer. But they're synthetic, so it won't work to warm the legs. On winter runs, if I think my feet might get wet, I wear wool socks instead. I wear size 10 shoes and they fit perfectly. Please note that these are not "tongue heel" socks as currently described on the Revain product page; This suits me, but if you require heel tabs, check with seller before ordering.
