This device has made it much easier to get rid of decades-old stacks of devices. I had several older devices that didn't have an easy method of extracting data (no ethernet, no USB). This device allowed me to remove hard drives and transfer data to newer media without having to use an older system. that used an IDE, had cables for laptop hard drives, and had either Ethernet or USB. When I used it to consolidate my data, I found out that Windows 10 still cannot read Linux file format and I had to use Linux system to extract data from hard drives of Linux machines. This little box saved a lot of stuff I almost gave up as lost and allowed me to free up a lot of space.
