The New Balance 996 is a quality shoe with exceptional comfort. I'm a size 13 and they really fit. You look good. They are not made in the USA but they have very good quality suede on the shoes. It's smooth and looks like I made shoes for the USA. Not sure if this is pigskin used on shoes made in England or in the US. But it's still a very good quality shoe. I bought the white/brown 996 and fell in love with them instantly, so I've had this pair and three other pairs since then. I'm a new balance freak, I have to say I have about 40 new balance pairs. I have a few cabinets dedicated to him. It's pretty sad. But I love New Balance. I think their shoes are designed for quality and comfort, with style. When you slide your foot onto the 996 you immediately feel that soft plush or feel around your foot. They are tight and comfortable on the sole of the foot. Shoelaces are the best version of shoelaces. The dark blue color is really good, I believe the version I bought here is space saver. If you are looking for quality shoes with style I would definitely recommend the 996. They have a retro style with a modern twist. They look narrower than the 574. The toe box is a bit squarer. But the quality really stands out. I always recommend New Balance, these shoes are really good quality and great price.
