The packaging says it can be washed in the dishwasher but hand washing is recommended. I wanted them to last so I ONLY hand washed them. Here's the result after having them since Christmas. Pros: The non-stick coating is truly non-stick. You can cook the stickiest, messiest, messiest things in it, and you'll be fine. Cons: Commercials show these pans can work with a hand mixer. I was skeptical and didn't do it. I was in a hurry last night and the potatoes needed to be mashed, so I mashed them in the pot. In the first photo, the result is ONCE. Needless to say I am very disappointed. I NEVER mix things in one pot, but the advertising says it's scratch resistant and will stand up to that kind of treatment. Then the bottoms of all pots and pans lose their copper color around the edges and stains appear on the silver rings. Finally the flat lids that come with the kit. Food and fat collect on the inside of the lid and you have to do a lot of digging to get them out. I wash the lids in the dishwasher when food gets stuck in them because sponges and washcloths just can't get into those slots. Of course, the next time I buy pots and pans it won't be this brand.
